If you crave candy, suck on a sugar-free version — this will also increase saliva production. Additionally, consider incorporating more cloves, fennel, and cardamom into your diet. These sweet-tasting spices have natural antibacterial properties that fight off the bacteria that cause halitosis.

4. Visit the Dentist Regularly

Having your teeth professionally cleaned twice a year will get rid of any remaining bacteria, plaque, and tartar that brushing can’t remove.
