If you live with daily back pain, you’ve likely explored several treatment options. Many remedies can be performed at home, and, with the assistance of a chiropractor, they can significantly reduce or eliminate back pain. Consider the following treatment regimens to resolve the issue.

Tips for Reducing Chronic Back Pain

1. Exercise

You don’t have to hit the gym hard every day to overcome back pain. The key to reducing it and preventing future injuries is by strengthening your core. These exercises can be performed anywhere. Crunches, back extensions, side bends, and Russian twists are a few examples. Start slow and consult a chiropractor for a customized workout plan.

2. Stretchback pain

For immediate relief, stretch. Tight lower back muscles and hamstrings are usually culprits of general back pain. Stretch this entire area by bending over and trying to touch your toes. You can perform the same stretch sitting on the ground. When you stretch, you loosen up your muscles, so they aren’t placing pressure on nerves. Stretch each morning so you can start your day without pain.

3. Be Mindful of Posture

Poor posture is a primary cause of back pain. It’s easy to hunch over while spending hours sitting at a desk each day. Stop, think about your position, and correct your posture by keeping your shoulders back and chin straight. Invest in a quality chair that provides ample support, make sure your feet are flat on the floor, and raise your computer monitor so your natural gaze falls in the center of your screen. Gradually, holding the correct posture will become second nature.
