Coryell Health celebrated the re-launch of its construction project to expand and renovate the health system campus.                

“We are pleased to welcome Skiles Group, as our new construction partner, to our Coryell Health family and the Gatesville community. The firm will lead supplementation efforts to mobilize and complete our expansion and renovation work,” notes David Byrom, CEO for Coryell Health.

We set out to provide healthcare close to home, so our patients don’t have to drive to receive quality care,” said Diedra Wuenschel, DO, Coryell Health Medical Clinic Director, RehabLiving Medical Director, and Chief of Staff.

 

The $42 million Renovation & Expansion Project covers approximately 117,000 square feet throughout the health system campus, located in Gatesville, Texas. The project will:

• Add a 25-bed, two story hospital to the campus
• Add a 16-bed medical therapy wing to RehabLiving at The Meadows
• Add 2 operating rooms and renovate 2 existing operating rooms
• Convert existing hospital rooms into Assisted & Independent Living at The Oaks residences

Incremental ribbon cuttings will occur in phases over the coming year. The first anticipated grand opening will be the cafeteria and dining facility, which is expected to open during May.
