1. Take Them Out Before Eating

2. Practice Routine Oral Hygiene

Even with Invisalign on, your teeth and gums will develop plaque—a bacterial film that contributes to cavities and gum disease. When the teeth are shielded by the trays, it will be harder for saliva to neutralize the bacterial activity, which, in turn, may increase your risk of oral health issues. As such, keep brushing twice a day and flossing daily.

3. Rinse Regularly

Anytime you take off the aligners, rinse them out with lukewarm water. Avoid excessively hot temperatures, as this may cause them to warp. If you need to sanitize the devices, let them sit in mouthwash.

4. Soak In Cleaning Crystals

In addition to regular rinsing, soaking the aligners in an appropriate cleansing solution is recommended about once a day. Whatever you use, the effervescent soak should help remove calcium buildup and other debris on the inside of your trays. Once complete, gently brush the tray and rinse it out. 5. Keep Them Covered

Anytime you’re not wearing the Invisalign, keep them covered in their case. This protection will prevent the trays from getting smashed or warped due to temperature changes. It will also help ensure that they are kept in clean condition.
