Spring is a time of year when many homeowners enjoy using their sunrooms. They provide an area to relax, entertain guests, and soak up sun. If your space could benefit from some spring cleaning, follow the tips below to get it ready for warmer temperatures.

3 Tips on Cleaning Your Sunroom for Spring

1. Declutter the Interior

It’s easy to let clutter build up over the winter, but getting rid of it for spring will help the house feel less cramped. Go through the sunroom and put away any items or papers that have piled up; if they don’t have a proper place, either make one or get rid of them. Also, examine the furniture, wash dirty upholstery, and consider reupholstering any worn items.

2. Wash Windows, Screens, & Door Tracks

You can then use a vacuum to get rid of any leaves trapped in the tracks of the door. Go over the windows with a glass cleaner, rinsing them afterward to avoid streaking.

3. Tidy Up the View

It’s hard to enjoy a view when the vista is littered with leaves and debris. Do some yard work to clean up detritus. Make sure to sweep off decks or sidewalks and prep your garden beds for planting as well.
