As Giving Day continues, I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for their participation so far.  Whether you have made a donation or have shared our posts we are very grateful.

If you have been meaning to make a donation but time is flying by please wait no further.  There is still plenty of time for us to reach our goal.  Even if we don't, we will always feel supported knowing that you think the work we are doing is vital to the community.

For those of you just hearing about our efforts, this is a brief overview of how we will use the funds we will raise today.  Hopefully, you will feel moved by the work we are doing.  If so, we ask that you donate whatever you can and also to share this email if you are able.

In January 2018, Nutmeg took another leap in animal welfare by becoming a mentor city for the Pets for Life program.  A national model of which we are the first organization of it’s kind in Connecticut.  The Pets for Life program works in a focused area to help members of the community with care for cats and dogs.  The area we chose to begin this essential work is the 06608 zip code of Bridgeport.  We offer spay/neuter, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and some limited wellness all at no cost.  These services are helping these pets to stay in their homes whereas they may have been relinquished with our help.  You can find out more information on our website at www.nutmegclinic.org/pets-for-life.

The Fairfield County Community Foundation's Giving Day will be ending at midnight tonight, but your donation will continue to help into the future.

This year we have chosen to make Pets for Life the focus of our efforts.  All monies raised will go to fund the services provided to the animals in our focus area.  Whether it be an owned dog or cat or the population of free-roaming stray or feral cats living outdoors, we are here to help.

If you have not already done so please “Like” us on our Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic Facebook page.  Once you do that, you will see posts about our efforts in the PFL community.  The posts will give a link to our Giving Day page.  This is where you can make your donation.  If you are not a user of social media, you can still support us by clicking on the following link.   http://vlsm.io/tb1.

Again, I cannot thank you enough.  We know that your time is valuable and so are your resources.  Your donation will be put to good use helping to make a difference in the lives of animals as well as the people who care for them, who would otherwise go without.

With Gratitude,

Clara McCabe
