When planning your nuptials, there is one person you might want to consult with before deciding on a color theme. Wedding photographers can help you select the right shades that will look best with your setting and chosen theme. Photographers know which ones read best on film, which ones will create more vivid memories and those that might get lost in the background. Here are some successful color wedding trends Brooklyn wedding photographer Karen Wise expects to see this wedding season.

What Wedding Colors Should You Expect to See This Year?

1. Chic Pink & Dashing Blue

Combine blush pink with navy blue to create a soft palette and elegant atmosphere. Use complementing shades of sea mist and champagne for accents, and you’ve got the perfect  color dynamic for a garden-set or bohemian-themed wedding.”I used blush as a floral color and wardrobe accent at my own wedding. I chose blush as a lip gloss color, to keep my makeup elegant and not overpowering, I also chose coral peonies in my spring bouquet. It was the best decision I made!” Coral is a very photogenic wedding color. Compliment it with a navy and you’ve got some pretty pictures.

2.  Deep Green & Lemon Yellow

Your wedding photographer will capture unique and colorful images if your venue is decorated in a sea of green. Greens can be found in leafy plants of centerpieces, bouquets or in tropical setttings. Green-blue can be found in sea settings like the Hamptons, or a Cape Cod or Caribbean wedding. Maximize the color potential by dressing your bridesmaids in a complementing yellow and your groomsmen in tan suits that have just a hint of green in the boutonniere.

3. Bold Blue & Vibrant Violet

These cooler shades are perfect for a hot summer wedding. The bold colors also allow you to choose simpler outfit and decor options. Pair them with white flowers, pink accent items, and one or two other subtler shades to help create balance with the decorations.

4. Eucalyptus Green & Rose Pink

If you are planning a fall or winter wedding, don’t think you have to sacrifice the outdoors. If the weather won’t permit, you can bring nature indoors. Using a soft green with hints of silver is a simple way to create a stylish affair. Green florals and silvery gray blooms like dusty miller add an interesting mix.Throw in hints of pink, but don’t overdo it or you risk losing the earthy appeal.

5. Sunflower Yellow & Ruby Red

These bright shades are perfect for a very sunny and tropical-themed summer wedding or a rustic-fall setting. The dramatic combination can be very inspiring for your wedding photographer, who may be looking around for brightly colored details and backdrops! Acheive it by choosing stunning red centerpieces (roses, dahlias, carnations, red tulips or Japanese maples) offset with a bouquet of yellow sunflowers! The bright and deep colors also provide the perfect accent to the bride’s white or ivory dress.

6. Living Coral

Expect Pantone’s® 2019 color of the year, living coral, to pop up in everything from bridesmaid dresses to wedding invitations, bouquets, signature cocktails, and everything in between. This peachy pink will bring vibrancy to any wedding style, but it works best with tropical, boho, and preppy. Because the color is so energetic, you’ll want to blend it with cream or blush hues or metallics.
