Whether your child loves to solve equations or uses art to express themselves, it’s important to encourage their interests from a young age. Doing so will make your little one eager to excel in school and find a career in a field they’ll enjoy. From the week of July 1st to the week of August 26th, youngsters ages three to 10 will get a chance to learn more about careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math during FasTracKidssummer camp in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. For an idea of what to expect, here’s a look at various themes included in the Summer STE(A)M Careers program.

What Themes Are Covered During Summer Camp?

Each week of the nine-week program, campers will get a comprehensive glimpse at different STEAM-based professions. Careers, or themes, covered include doctors; entrepreneurs; structural, robotics, electrical, and chemical engineers; painters and sculptors; aviators; and food scientists. Through lessons, hands-on activities, experiments, and discussions, kids learn more about the ins and outs of these jobs and what skills are required to excel in the professions.

How Does Participation Benefit Kids?

Brooklyn-New-York-summer-campsThe main objective of the 2019 summer camp is to get youngsters excited about continuing their STEM education. Letting kids participate in activities, ask questions, and work with peers will help them organically develop a curiosity about the different careers. Using science, math, creativity, and problem-solving skills to complete projects and coursework will encourage kids to take advantage of gifted and talented opportunities and after-school programs to become better at subjects that will help them advance in these careers later.

If you want to sign your child up for a specific program theme during the summer camp or reserve a slot for the entire nine-week session, contact the staff at FasTracKids today.
