Indigo Indian Bistro Offers Tandoori Specialities And Other Indian Cuisine, Manhattan, New York

New York is full of Indian restaurants, but nothing beats a high-quality Indian restaurant that delivers directly to your door. With its mouthwatering assortment of Tandoori specialties, Manhattan's Indigo Indian Bistro fits the bill.

A tandoor is a special kind of cylindrical clay high-heat oven popularly used in northern India, Pakistan, Afghan, Turkey, and other parts of Asia to bake bread and cook meats and vegetables. Meat cooked in a tandoor is distinctly tender.

At Indigo Indian Bistro, Tandoori dishes include Murg Malai Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Shrimp, Seekh Kebab, and Mixed Grill. For those unfamiliar with Indian cuisine, here's a little cheat sheet: Murg Malai Kebab is a dish containing grilled chicken breast marinated in yogurt sauce. Chicken Tikka is boneless grilled chicken breast, while the bone is left in for Tandoori Chicken. The preparation for Tandoori Shrimp is similar, except you get shrimp instead of chicken. Seekh Kebab features minced lamb sausage, while what Indigo Indian Bistro calls Mixed Grill features an array of Tandoori delicacies.

In addition to tandoori specialties, Indigo Indian Bistro offers other hallmarks of Indian cuisine, from creamy Chicken Tikka Masala to Malabar Fish Curry to mango chutney to absolutely irresistible vegetable samosas.

With locations convenient to Midtown and Upper West Side, Indigo Indian Bistro delivers all orders for free. Delivery typically takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Peruse Indigo Indian Bistro's menu online and place your order or make a reservation by calling (212) 421-1919. Prefer to order from your tablet or laptop? Orders can be placed online as well!
