Clarity is absolutely essential. Before sending your invitations to print, double check that you have the date and time of the event, the name and address of the venue, whether your invitee can bring a plus-one, and the dress code. While you’ll naturally include your name and the name of your betrothed, it’s also traditional to add the names of the hosting parents.

3. Response Card

Let your guests know the latest date for the RSVP. Include a response card with a stamped envelope. The card should include a place for them to check off whether they are attending. It may be helpful to print the name of the guest on this card to limit the likelihood of receiving responses from mystery guests. If your reception will be a la carte, be sure to include the choice of meals so they can check off their preferences.
