Happy Holidays – A time to be grateful

As we enter into another Holiday season, I think we all reflect on life and its true meaning. As I’ve gotten older, I seem to have more questions than answers. Like a lot of people, I continue to search for life’s meaning.  Ultimately, my thoughts always bring me back to love and friendship. To me, the true meaning of life is measured by our friends and families.

I know the CAP community and support groups have become a second family to many, including myself.  Personally, I have formed many relationships within the CAP community that I value tremendously. I am continually inspired by the countless stories of hope and perseverance. It has made me stronger, wiser, and more human. For all of us, there will be periods in our life where we confront a hardship. Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s is a personal experience, but no one should have to face Parkinson’s alone. I know for many the CAP Support Groups have taking loneliness and fear and replaced them with hope, courage, and the assurance that you are not alone in battling Parkinson’s.  I think we should all be grateful for the CAP family that Steve DeWitte started over ten years ago.

I want to thank you for letting me serve as your Chairman; it has truly been a gift to me. I would like to thank all the CAP Board Members for all their hard work throughout 2018. Your hard work and dedication is an inspiration. I believe next year will be amazing as we continue to provide support to the Parkinson’s community and raise money to help find a cure. It will take a tremendous amount of energy, but I know we have a great team in place to accomplish all our goals.

I would like to wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season. Please remain hopeful, as I know a cure is just over the horizon.

If you have Parkinson’s and CAP can help you in any way this holiday season or any time of the year, please email or give me a call. CAP is here to serve you.

Warm Regards,
