A lovely holiday is upon us. A time to be thankful will fill our Thursday plans and bring us together with the people near and dear to us.  Keeping the right message flowing throughout the day reminds us it’s more than just a feast, although it is perfectly okay to enjoy a great meal.  

Like the football game to follow, so should you have a game plan.  Starting out your day with a healthy, protein rich breakfast is a helpful tip while keeping you from feeling famished when food hits the table.  Keep it light but balanced like an egg with a slice of whole grain toast and some fresh raspberries.

Plan for extra calories this day.  There will hidden fats, sugars, and salt in this meal, but small portions will be the number one focus.  Keeping portions to ¼ -½ cup and including a deck of cards-sized lean protein while filling your plate.  If you are tempted, try filling up on salad greens and the relish tray.  

You can enjoy the holiday and lose weight this week.  Stay active, stay hydrated. RELAX….You’ve got this
