AUTOMOTIVE PAINTER JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Automotive paint technician to join our team.  5-10 years of painting experience is preferred, but we will consider graduates from respected automotive collision programs. Capabilities of color matching/blending, spot painting, tinting paint/mixing and adjusting color well as being ASE and I-CAR certified is plus. Must be a team player, you must bring knowledge, have a great work ethic, a positive attitude, must be particular and keep a clean working environment, have a good understanding of working at a production shop, and a willingness to follow directions.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, automotive collision training highly preferred
• Must have 5-10- worth of experience and be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• High productivity while maintaining high quality workmanship
• Ability to work well with co-workers
• Strong detail orientation
• Ability to understand manufacturer’s specifications
• Selected candidate must be able to perform all job functions that require bending, standing, lifting, and reaching.  Selected candidate must be available to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
• sanding, priming, cleaning/prepping, taping the car, mixing paint/adjusting the colors, blending
• Edged hoods, doors, fenders, and other auto body parts for painting.
• Applied sealant, primed, and wet sanded auto body panels.
• Buff as needed
• Fixed small scratches and dents on bumpers, and minor dents on panels.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory and materials to minimize lost time
• Neatly mask adjacent panel to ensure no over spray
• Troubleshoot color match to ensure accuracy
• Ensure the work area  is kept clean and in full working order
