Event Information

For the last two years, the Pink Palace Mansion has been under construction. After renovations and new additions, the team at this Memphis museum and movie theater are proud to celebrate the official reopening of this historic space. With more family activities and exciting exhibits, residents and visitors to West Tennessee are in for a treat.

The Pink Palace Mansion Is Reopening

Saturday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Dec. 8, the Pink Palace Mansion will be open to the public again for the first time in two years. This highly anticipated reopening will include the debut of exciting new museum exhibits, including a reconstructed original Piggly Wiggly Store replica and Country Store, along with a restored Clyde Parke Miniature Circus.

Pink PalaceBetter still, the Clyde Parke Miniature Circus is on the second floor of the mansion, an area that has been off-limits to the public for decades.

“The second story hasn’t been open to the public for 40 years, so this will be a great opportunity for many visitors to see a side of the Mansion they’ve never seen,” said Bill Walsh, Marketing Manager at the Pink Palace Family of Museums.

If that isn’t incentive enough to buy your tickets to the mansion reopening on Dec. 8, you’ll love seeing the museum’s most popular exhibits of all time: the Cossitt Library and Cossitt Gallery, which have over 600 artifacts from the 19th century.
