Apple® products have a reputation for outstanding quality and innovative design. It’s these characteristics that make the iPhone® the world’s leading smartphone year after year. While its face recognition and touch-screen gestures are well-known and often copied, some of its handiest features are not always known—even to tech-savvy users. Here are a few hidden features that will make you love your iPhone even more.

5 Hidden Tricks & Tips of Your iPhone

1. Show Parked Location

Never forget where you parked by pinpointing your car’s exact location on Apple Maps. To enable this useful feature, go to Maps under Settings and switch on “Show Parked Location.” Just make sure the mobile Apple product is connected to your vehicle’s Bluetooth® stereo to find the parked car.

2. Magnifier

If you need to take a closer look at something, you can use your phone’s Magnifier feature. Toggle on this feature in the Accessibility menu under the General option of your Settings. When you launch your camera, the Magnifier can be accessed by triple-tapping the Home button and using the slider to adjust accordingly.

3. Backspace in Calculator

iphoneHaving to redo an entire equation on your calculator after entering a wrong number is frustrating. However, your iPhone has a backspace function within its Calculator app that allows you to simply swipe left or right on the screen to delete an errant digit. As a bonus, you can switch your Calculator to landscape mode to reveal its other functions.

4. Snap Photos During Video Recording

There are instances when you want to take photos while filming a video on your smartphone. If you’re wary of losing your creative momentum, just tap on the camera button on-screen beside the recording shutter. This tactic doesn’t allow you to utilize the full capabilities of your iPhone’s photosensor, but you’ll still get a vibrant photo—without having to stop your video recording.

5. Hide Photos

Some photos are meant for your eyes only, so keep them safely tucked away in a separate album. Under Photos, choose images to put out of sight by tapping Hide under the Share button. Selected photos won’t be on the Moments, Collections, and Years but only under the Hidden album which can be accessed on other mobile Apple products via iCloud.
