For instance, if you add an apple tree, you may need to put up a deer fence too.

2. Aesthetics

Consider the boundaries of your property and how trees can enhance the aesthetic by adding visual interest and framing. An arborist can help you group them strategically for a rural orchard or enchanting woodland look. Planting along the boundary also delineates the property in a way that is more welcoming and beneficial to the environment than a fence. Choose small trees that will grow less than 30 feet tall and place them at least eight to 10 feet away from the house. Medium-sized ones must be at least 15 feet away, and large trees at least 20 feet to avoid plumbing and foundation issues.
