The new operating system for Macs just arrived.  The name of the new OS X is Mojave.  Should you upgrade now or wait?   Upgrading means getting a new operating system to run all your software.

We tell customers in our store that you should wait, at least 8 to 10 months, before you upgrade operating system on your Mac.

Why, you ask?  When a new product comes out, like a car or software, bugs come with the new item.  As more people use it, bugs are found and can be fixed.  To fix a bug with software, companies create an update.  The updates are alway important to run on a Mac, since they fix bugs or problems.  We recommend that you wait for at lease three to four updates to come out, before you upgrade to the new operating system.  This should take about 8 to 10 months.

If you have any questions, please call or drop by Experimac Bend and ask.  We love helping you out.
