Fact - many turning 65 don’t want to retire and many won’t.
So, what the heck are these baby boomers doing?
Many, it turns out, are becoming entrepreneurs. “The number of self-employed New Yorkers who were at least 50 rose to 209,972 in 2016, up 63.7 percent from 128,282 in 2000.” The NY Times: Retire?.
It should be no surprise that people like being their own boss, having an income, tapping into their years of experience and forging a new identity for themselves.
