Assume the Position lower back pain

Proper form is everything when it comes to lifting heavy objects safely. Start with your feet shoulder-width apart, and place one foot slightly ahead of the other. This will provide a wide base and ensure stability as you lift. Then, squat down, bending at the knees and hips, but not at the waist. While looking straight ahead, pick up the item and start to stand slowly. 

Maintain Good Posture Throughout 

Keep your back straight and head facing forward as you lift to prevent lower back pain. Avoid twisting at the chest or hips, and hold the item as close to your body as possible. For optimum balance, keep it in line with your belly button. If you must carry the object somewhere, take small steps, and change direction with your feet while leading with your hips. Finally, set the item down carefully, using the same approach as above but in reverse. By keeping your back straight from start to finish, you can avoid straining the muscles in your core.
