People v. W. L. (Farmington Town Court, 9/2018).

Mr. Corletta used his knowledge of the law to prevent an interim license suspension for a client whose employment requires travel in the field in People v. W. L. (Farmington Town Court, 9/2018).

Mr. Corletta, appearing with an older client with established employment, noted a defect in paperwork filed with the Court. In ordinarily conservative Ontario County, a license suspension is virtually automatic at a first appearance in a Driving While Intoxicated case.

Not so in this case, as Mr. Corletta immediately objected to any suspension. The Court reluctantly agreed and did not suspend the client's license, thereby enabling the client to continue with employment until other arrangements could be made.
