While Apple® products are fantastic, you’re bound to run into issues at some point, even with iPad® tablets. From fragile screens and weird glitches to not charging, there are some common iPad problems you might encounter. Before going to get an iPad repair, however, there are some troubleshooting tips that could solve your issue, saving you the money you would’ve spent on repairs.

If It Won’t Turn On

If your iPad won’t come on at all, try charging it for at least an hour. If that doesn’t work, then reset it by holding down the Sleep and Home buttons for a few seconds until the Apple logo pops up. When those solutions don’t work, the issue could be your display. Restart your iPad by holding down the Sleep button until the option to power off appears. Leave it off for two full minutes before turning it on. Should all of these options fail, you’ll probably have to take it to an iPad repair specialist.

If It Won’t Charge

iPad repairBefore panicking, it’s important to know that many laptop USB ports don’t have enough power to charge an iPad. You’ll get a “Not Charging” message if this is the case. If it’s plugged into a wall outlet and won’t charge, however, check your cord and the port on your device for damage, dirt, or other obstructions. If not, then borrow another iPad cord to see if yours is the problem. If that doesn’t work, visit an iPad repair shop.

If It Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi

First, turn the Wi-Fi on your iPad off and back on, and then restart your iPad. If that doesn’t work, make sure your internet equipment is on and working and your Wi-Fi is running the latest software. Try unplugging your router for 20 seconds, and then try again. The final step is to reset the device’s network settings by going into “Settings,” selecting “Reset,” and then “Reset Network Settings.”
