To support a cause they believe in, the plumbing and HVAC technicians at Niebuhr Plumbing & Heating will participate in the Steppin’ Out in Pink fundraising event sponsored by Gundersen Medical Foundation this September in La Crosse, WI. Their team, Plunging Out Cancer, will walk to raise funds for local breast cancer research. Staff members, family, and friends will join them to walk all or part of the 2.5- or 4.5-mile course.

Steppin’ Out in Pink Fundraiser

8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8

Teams from the community will gather at the Gundersen - La Crosse Campus walking trail early Saturday morning for a short program recognizing local survivors before the official walk begins at the VIP Trail. Volunteers will be positioned along the trail with refreshments, first aid, and motivation to encourage participants to complete their journey. Pink ribbon trophies will be awarded to the teams that have raised the most money for the event.

You can make a donation to support Niebuhr Plumbing’s team online, and all proceeds will go to breast cancer programs at Gundersen Medical Center. You can also register online to walk in the event for a $15 fee until August 27 or $20 through September 3. Day of event registration will be available for $25.
