As part of the Advanced Mediator Training Series, Lou Chang will be leading a one-day workshop that aims to provide participants with innovative mediation strategies. The course will be offered in both Los Angeles and San Francisco and is open to experienced and practicing mediators, as well as anyone who is interested in alternative dispute resolution.

Wednesday, September 26th in Los Angeles & Friday, September 28th in San Francisco 

mediationExpanding the Mediator’s Toolbox – Blending Advanced Mediator Strategies is a comprehensive course that explores various strategies and their potential effectiveness, especially when compared to traditional mediation methods. Approaches that will be explained in depth fall under these five categories: facilitative, benefactor, assertive/directive, relational, and personas. 

During the day-long workshop, which is hosted by AAA Education Services, participants will gain the tools needed to serve as better mediators, especially when assisting clients who are facing contentious disputes. The strategies that will be discussed can be adapted for individuals or institutions. Registration is $425 ($375 for AAA Panelists) and includes all course materials, as well as breakfast and lunch. Legal education and training are not necessary to participate fully in the day’s exercises.
