1. Perform Visual Inspections

First, check the exterior of your vehicle for any issues. For example, make sure your headlights, tail lights, and brake lights are fully functional. 2.  Check Fluids

With your hood up, pull the dipstick out of your engine. The oil should be clear and above the minimum line. Inspect your radiator’s coolant levels, too, which are located in reservoirs in the engine compartment. The level should fall between the maximum and minimum markers.

3. Replace Air Filter

Once every few months, remove your air filter. If it’s clogged with dirt, dust, and debris, replace it with a clean one. Doing so will purify the air inside your vehicle, causing it to run more efficiently and waste less gas. 

4. Gauge Tire Pressure
