Everyone Has a Story

As I wrote my personal story last month, I did not realize how much impact it would have on those who read it.  It was written from my heart, and that is what people like to hear.  The human spirit is life at its truest.  I thank all of you who commented.  I am grateful I have so many people that care.  I am a lucky woman.

I decided I want this blog to be everyone’s place to share stories.  I have said from the beginning, “From this unfortunate journey with PD, Karl and I have met so many amazing people and made so many friendships.”  Making connections with others is what makes life special. The Parkinson’s community is special with a lot of special people doing a lot of important things.  I invite you all to share your story.  Nothing fancy, just share a feeling, an event, a celebration, a setback or advice.  Below, a long time CAP member has shared some great resources for everyone.  Thank you, Greg!

Enclosed are some of my top picks for articles about Parkinson's Disease.  I will try to recommend articles that I think our group will find interesting.

One of my favorites is research showing that yoga helps relieve Parkinson's.  That's great news for all of us regular yoga folks, and those that are considering trying it.  Kudo's to the Ninja Warrior with Parkinson's. Very inspirational!

And let's not forget about Deep Brain Stimulation!!  It has worked out wonderfully for myself and many of our Parky friends.

Well that's all for now.  Hope you enjoy the articles.  As our old friend always says "Keep the Faith"
