At FasTracKids, our team knows all too well how easy it is for kids to slip into the dreaded summer slump when the school year ends. After months of learning nonstop, spending the off-season doing everything but learning can really play a role in that academic drop come fall. Luckily, we have come up with some exciting new ways to keep your child engaged, mentally active, and primed and ready for the school season to start. Read on to learn more!

Educational Summer Camp – Few programs are as enriching and worthwhile in the summer season like a day camp that incorporates lesson plans and educational activities. Your kids will be spending their time socializing while discovering new interests through our varied schedule of learning programs. From arts and crafts to science lab to board games, our summer camp will open participants up to a whole world of opportunities. Along with finding new hobbies and interests, kids will also cover more traditional courses like reading, geography, and biology, ensuring that their brains are getting a constant workout.

Visit the Library – One of the most affordable and accessible resources for children is the public library. Make use of this valuable institution by making library time a regular part of the summer routine. In the sweltering dog days of summer, you can forego the usual movie theater and mall trips and instead help your little ones cool down in a space that also offers an educational advantage. With book clubs, poetry contests, storytime sessions, and so much more, your kids won’t even notice that they’re being studious with all the fun they’ll be having.

Create a Learning and Discovery Space – If you know that your child can get lost in a book for hours on end, or is absolutely obsessed with all things science-related, you can create a little learning space right inside your house. All you have to do is get a sense of their interests and then you can stock up on library books, telescopes, flashcards, arts and crafts supplies and more. Your kids will get so carried away with these educational resources they won’t even notice that they’re actually doing something school-related. Everybody wins!

Learning Programs – If you feel like your children aren’t quite ready for a full day at camp, you can enroll them in a supplemental educational program instead! At FasTracKids, we offer all sorts of courses, from Fundamentals, Music, English, and more. Depending on what your child needs to focus on, you can set them up with a highly trained tutor who will encourage their development in a variety of different subjects, and give them a boost for the upcoming school season.

If you would like to learn more about FasTracKids’ educational day camp, learning programs, and other resources that we offer, we would love to hear from you.
