Getting in some gentle exercise every day will relieve muscle tension and combat weight gain. Both of these issues can contribute to pain and exacerbate conditions like arthritis and bulging discs. Choose a low-impact movement like rowing, cycling, or swimming until your body gets used to regular physical activity again to reduce the risk of an overuse injury.     

3. Ignoring Medical Advice
