Even night owls can learn to make the best out of their mornings. With a little practice and time management, your mornings can be more than scurrying and stress!  To establish a healthy morning routine start with these 4 Tips below:

  1. Get more zzz’s.  Wake up feeling more rested. Research has linked more sleep with a lower BMI.  Disconnect from screen time by a certain time each night to make sure you call it a night before it’s late.
  2. Eat. Yay! Not sugary cereals and pastries of course, but instead eggs, Greek yogurt, or oats.  Get some fiber and protein in early to start your day!
  3. Get moving.  Even if there isn’t time for a workout, a few simple stretches or a few times up and down a flight of stairs is a start.  Getting up 15 minutes early to take the dog around the block could work for those getting adequate sleep.
  4. Get drinking.  Beyond the coffee, start with a full glass of water.  Remember, hydration helps with alertness and concentration that you will need for your work day.

Losing weight is difficult, however with the right routine and support it can be done to help you live a longer, more fulfilled life.
