Soccer has become a popular activity for people of all ages. 3 Soccer Training Exercises to Try

1. Leg Lunges

Leg strength is essential for soccer players. You need to be able to use both legs individually and with power. To do a lunge, take a large but controlled step forward with one leg and then lower the other knee almost to the ground before stepping back. You can even hold onto weights while you do this exercise to create more resistance.

2. Bounds

soccer trainingSoccer rewards speed. In addition to practicing with sprints, you can build some explosive power by doing bounds. To do this exercise, find a running course or flat ground. Then make a sort of exaggerated running motion by lifting one knee especially high while keeping the other foot flat. Then hop forward, landing on the ball of your foot and repeat on the other side, trying to cover as much ground with as few steps as possible.

3. Dribble the Ball in a Circle

To improve your ball handling skills, try standing on a flat surface and dribble the ball around in a circle with one foot. Then do the same thing with the other foot and try passing it back and forth between both feet. You can do this inside or outside, as it shouldn’t require much space at all.
