5/3/18 (Lincoln, NE) – The Home Builders Association of Lincoln has announced it will host Construction Career Day on May 5^th from 10:00am-2:00pm at Southeast Community College parking lot at 88^th& O Street.

This city-wide educational outreach program is designed to create awareness in middle school and high school students to the wide variety of skilled construction careers. Construction Career Day will give students the chance to get a feel for construction careers by participating in activities like operating light machinery, utilizing tools, and speaking to experienced industry leaders.

The event is free and open to the public.

Construction Career Day will have RED 94.5 broadcasting live on-site, a food truck, big equipment, little equipment, power tools, hand tools, virtual reality, dump trucks, masonry, and concrete activities, and much more!

This event is hosted by the Home Builders Association of Lincoln in cooperation with Build our Nebraska. Partner agencies and organizations responsible for the event include the AGC Building Chapter, AGC Nebraska Chapter, Mechanical Contractors Association, National Electrical Contractors Association, Nebraska Utility Contractors Association, Nebraska Masonry Alliance, and the Nebraska Concrete & Aggregates Association.
