Event Information

One of the biggest hurdles in motivating kids to take care of their teeth is simply sparking their interest. Parents in Honolulu, HI, have the chance to get little ones excited about dental care thanks to a new dinosaur exhibit at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum. The pediatric dentistry professionals of Pedodontic Associates explain below how you can use this event to teach kids about teeth.

Expedition: Dinosaur Provides Facts & Fun

February 17 - September 3, 2018, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily

dental careDinosaurs on display at the exhibit include Stegosaurus, Triceratops and an Albertosaurus, a close relative of the famous T-Rex. Kids will come face-to-face with dozens of life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, enjoy interactive stations that explain things like dinosaur movement and evolution, and explore the history of dinosaur hunters in the “bone wars” tent.

While you are at the museum, make the most of this opportunity to teach kids about teeth. For instance, share this fun fact: Dinosaur teeth were replaceable. If a dinosaur had an accident and lost a tooth at any stage, a new one would grow to take its place. Humans unfortunately don’t have this ability, so practicing good dental care will protect the teeth you have.
