For the next two months, New York City’s finest antique and custom furniture store is featuring the outstanding work of some of their
favorite designers. Mecox, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is fortunate to have a cozy storefront looking out onto the iconic Lexington Avenue, a spacious upstairs showroom, as well as a charming outdoor terrace.
During the NYC vintage furniture store’s "Spirit of Spring Designer Windows" event, four designers will create bright, beautiful, and eye-catching window displays for the enjoyment of shoppers, design enthusiasts, and passersby. The first designer to take the Mecox stage is Miles Redd, whose work will be on display from March 19th until April 2nd.
Miles Redd is a much sought after interior designer, notable for his singular brand of glamorous comfort. He will bring the "Spirit of Spring Designer Windows" event to life with elements of fantasy, whimsy, and a bold sophistication for the contemporary home. As a New York City- based designer, he knows precisely how to appeal to the creative eye with a focus on function and individual expression.
Over the course of the event, each designer selects a charity of his or her choice to receive 10% of the furniture store's sale proceeds. For his charity, Redd selected Housing Works. Housing Works' mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS through advocacy, lifesaving services, and the businesses which sustain those efforts. Mecox and Miles Redd proudly collaborate to contribute to this mission in the upcoming month.
Stop by Mecox on Lexington Avenue to see Miles Redd’s "Spirit of Spring Designer Windows" before April 2nd. You will find design inspiration for the spring months, as well as a brand new selection of handcrafted, antique, reproduction, and vintage furniture.
