In September 2017, Hurricane Irma ripped its way through Southern Florida, leaving many people without homes, communities, or anywhere to go. When this happened, the professionals at CWC Roofing and Exteriors, based in St. Louis, MO, expanded the business to help those in need. This exteriors company opened a new office in Naples, FL. Here’s a more detailed look at everything they’ve done.

The Damage

As one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes ever recorded, Hurricane Irma hit Florida on September 10. Though it was originally projected to hit Miami, it instead aimed toward Cudjoe Key, which lies north of Key West, and then Naples. The storm’s strongest winds, about 142 miles per hour, hit Naples with full force and resulted in damage that had an impact on the economy at around $100 billion.

The Solution

construction companyAs experts in storm damage repair, this St. Louis-based roofing company simply couldn’t sit and watch the fallout from the storm. Instead, they decided to do what they do best: help. After opening their new location in Naples, they began working tirelessly with families and businesses to rebuild what they had lost.

One example of their dedication to disaster relief is their work on Cherry Oaks Lane. Over the last eight months, this heavily damaged community required roof repair for 29 buildings, most of which needed Capistrano tile removal and replacement. They also provided emergency tarps and continuously helped property owners file insurance claims.

Hurricane Irma caused an exorbitant amount of damage to Southern Florida. CWC Roofing and Exteriors continues to do everything they can to assist. With more than 90 years of experience, CWC prides itself on quality workmanship and environmentally friendly practices. To learn more about their services, call (314) 633-5777.
