The weather has been warming up and spring is right around the corner.  Construction is ramping up at 2080 Beaver Valley Rd, in Beavercreek OH.  The Bomber Coaches recently toured the construction site, we took a first-hand look at the progress on our new home, and did quite a bit of day dreaming as we look towards a completion date.  We had the opportunity to wander around on the bare concrete slab, stare at the open trusses, and gaze out the open bay doors onto an untouched five acres on what will be the future home of Bombers CrossFit.

After a cold winter and a few setbacks, construction is moving along.  As you drive by the site you will notice the framework of the building is in place.  The foundation has been poured and cured.  The driveway and parking lot are taking shape – gravel for now, but as summer approaches pavement will follow.  The exterior walls are in place, the roof trusses are set and work is beginning on the exterior siding.  Exterior windows have also be set in place.

Inside the main gym, there are nine large windows, three along each side wall and three along the back wall.  These windows, along with the four bay doors allow an amazing amount of natural light into the new gym space.  In the warmer months of the year, with all four bay doors opened up there will be an excellent amount of air flow through the gym.  The gym space is a total of 6000 square-feet, the coaches are working on the best layout of equipment to maximize our workouts and increase our potential.

Also inside the framing of all the other rooms is taking shape.  The entry way is roughed in, with a modest coaches’ office and a massage studio for our in-house massage therapist.  The bathrooms have taken shape as well as the layout for utilities, and a bit of storage space.  There will be a large multipurpose room, with a wall of windows looking into the main gym floor.

There is a lot of work left to be done, but we are in the best hands with G.A. White Construction and we couldn’t be any happier.
