USCIS announced that on 4/13/15, it used a computer-generated random selection process, or lottery, to select petitions to meet the FY2016 cap. USCIS will begin premium processing for H-1B cap cases no later than 5/11/15. USCIS received nearly 233,000 H-1B petitions during the filing period.
