Breast Augmentation FAQ
Are Saline or Silicone Breast Implants the best choice for you?
There is no “best” implant across the board. This depends mostly on personal preference. Physical attributes, like chest width and how much breast tissue you already have, are deciding factors as well.
What Number of CC’s Equal What Cup Size?
Breast implants are measured in cc’s, or milliliters. It takes approximately 200 cc to equal one cup size. Our trained staff will assist you in determining what size implant to choose according to your body physique and personal goals.
How Can You Prevent Wrinkling?
In general, wrinkling is thought to be less likely when implants are placed below the muscle. For think-skinned patients, it’s recommended to choose silicone implants to help decrease the chance of wrinkling.
What About Hardness?
It is possible for patients to experience firmness called capsular contracture. Statistically, there is a 3-5% chance of this happening; however, our patients experience this less than 1% of the time, due to Dr. Gryskiewicz’s surgical technique as well as postoperative protocol.
Where can my incisions be placed?
A Breast Augmentation incision can be done through the axilla (armpit), peri-areola, (around the areola) and inframammary (the breast crease). Dr. Gryskiewicz can utilize these incisions for either saline or silicone implants.
