If you love classical music, Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church is hosting a fundraising concert for their new building. You can come to hear Grammy®-nominated concert pianist Dr. Duane Hulbert with a special appearance from acoustic folk performer Doris Justis. Together, they will present an afternoon of music to remember at the Honolulu church.

Piano Concert Fundraiser at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church

Saturday, Feb. 10, 4 p.m.

During his long career as a concert pianist, Dr. Hulbert has made solo appearances with the North Carolina, Minnesota, Dallas, Seattle, and Tacoma symphonies as well as the Rochester Philharmonic. He released his Grammy-nominated album of Glazunov’s works in 2002 and is the recipient of numerous other awards as well. He has also composed works ranging from children’s musicals to classical and Western-inspired pieces. He is currently the head of the piano department at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.

All the proceeds from this concert will go straight to Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church’s building fund. The church has continued to grow over the years, and an updated building will provide plenty of space for all members to worship God. When you attend this one-of-a-kind concert, you can support a church that works hard to serve the community. The congregation is very involved in local neighborhoods, with programs for the homeless, senior citizens, and single mothers. They also reach out to the many visitors to the Hawaiian islands who pass through every year. Their goal is to “Reach” out to the community, “Preach” the message of Christ, and “Teach” Bible studies that help people apply Scripture to their lives.
