Blast-Proof Automatic Doors

Built by Dura-Shield^TM, these automatic doors are designed to withstand impacts. The glass is blast-proof and the panels are forged from heavy-duty metal. Much stronger than typical commercial doors, the system was developed with Insulgard^TM Security Products. Door installation with this state-of-the-art product offers protection according to DOD UFC Blast Code UFC 4-010-01 compliance.

Hickam Air Force Base

The Hickam Air Force Base was the largest military construction project of its day, beginning construction in 1934, wrapping up in 1941, and taking up over 2,225 acres of land. Named after Lieutenant Colonel Horace Meek Hickam, it’s now part of the Joint Base Pearl-Harbor Hickam. 

Today, the base is home to the Air Force’s 15th Wing, along with 67 partner units. It headquarters the Pacific Air Force, Hawaii National Guard, the Air National Guard’s 154th Wing, and the Air Mobility Command’s 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing, along with 140 tenant units. All of these groups support a variety of military functions, from airfield operations to aircraft maintenance, security, civil engineering, and medical care. All serve as vital components to the American military, both active duty and on guard.
