How can you improve your chances of having a Happy Thanksgiving?
Managing your stress is a good way to start. Reduce your expectations and recognize that people are who they are. Allowing yourself more time than you need to travel or cook also goes a long way. Spend a few minutes to close your eyes, take some deep breaths and center yourself. If you’re more relaxed and in a good mood, you’ll enjoy the day more!
Digestive issues can be a problem any day...but, especially on Thanksgiving when you are served so much food – and it all looks so good! Pace yourself and take home a doggie bag instead of eating until you are stuffed. Turkey and all the fixings make good leftovers the next day. Easier said than done...but, do your best. Taking a probiotic when you start the meal will also help your system manage the food better.
Enjoy the holiday and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
