You may think that you should give a recorded statement because you want to be cooperative and open with the wrongdoer’s insurance company.  You may think that the other driver was clearly at fault and that it would be impossible to have your words twisted against you.  Guess again.

Adjusters are trained to get statements from you that will be used against you in defending your claim.  For example, an adjuster may try to get you to admit that you didn’t do anything to avoid the collision, even though you had no time to take evasive action.  Adjusters are trained to switch blame to you, minimize your injuries, or pry into your prior health in order to argue that your injuries existed before the collision.  A careless interview can doom your case.

The law firm of Miraldi & Barrett is available to evaluate your case in a free consultation.  We also offer a free book entitled Don't Be A Victim Again:  How To Protect Yourself After A Motor Vehicle Crash in Ohio. Give us a call and protect yourself and your family.
