Do you have a fear of public speaking? You're not alone. Embodied Minds, an organization dedicated to helping its clients go beyond everyday communication, is offering a useful Public Speaking Workshop March 4 at 7-8:30 p.m.
Their workshops, which run for eight weeks, include a minimum of six people and a maximum of 15 -- this way, everyone attains individual attention. Those who sign up can pay $35 dollars per session of $240 for the full package.
Founded by therapists Shira Hon and Leticia Warner, Embodied Minds is based off of the idea that the mind and body are one unified system -- a system that can certainly aid in public speaking endeavors. Their goal is to inspire their clients to overcome their anxiety related to public speaking, presenting ideas and communicating with others. In short, they are innovating the approach to public speaking therapy in plenty of ways, utilizing arts and practices found within gestalt therapy.
