Updates to GrandeVille’s Main Courtyard

We are excited about the current project underway to update the main courtyard in GrandeVille. The maintenance department has been hard at work laying down stone, planting and putting up wood railing accents along the walkways. Below you can see a few pictures of the current progress.

Throughout the month of October we are recognizing our Maintenance Department. They work tirelessly around the facility to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. The current courtyard updates are just one of the many examples of their handiwork!

Getting to know Mary Ann Williams, our new Food Service Director. 

Mary Ann is a graduate of Monroe Community College with her Associates Degree in Food Service Administration. Mary Ann has over 16 years of experience in the food service industry, all of which has been in assisted living and long term care facilities in the Rochester area. Mary Ann is also an LPN and has worked as a nurse for the last 10 years in skilled nursing.

1. How long have you been working at GV and in which position? 

     I have been at GrandeVille for a little over one month as the Food Service Director. 

2. What do you like best about working at GV? 

     I love the residents at GrandeVille. The residents are what make me enjoy my job each day and do my best to provide them with a good quality meal. 

3. “I’m happiest...” 

     … when I am able to put a smile on a resident’s face. No concern is too big or small. I will do my best to make each request happen so that the residents are satisfied. 

4. People would be surprised to know…

     ...that my parents have been married for 61 years and had eleven kids. I am the youngest of my siblings and have a twin brother. 

5. Favorite food? 

     Pasta – I could eat any kind of pasta seven days a week! 

6. Favorite sport/hobby? 

     Football – I am a Buffalo Bills fan and continue to root for them each year hoping they will have a better season than the year before.
