A week ago today Hillview Nursing Home transformed how their weekday lunch meal is served.  Our Dining Experience offers an opportunity for added socialization, a personalized menu with a variety of options, as well as an opportunity for added exercise and a way to meet more people!

This trial is being offered to residents on the East end of our building at the Noon meal; and is hopefully only the beginning.  Once our experience is more perfected we will be opening up the Dining Experience option to the West end of our building.

Some of the new daily options on our menu’s have been:  bacon cheeseburgers, batter fried shrimp, grilled cheese, ham and bacon club sandwich, pizza, chicken strips …..and there is always a HOMEMADE soup of the day option!!

So far comments we have heard include:  “you know I just didn’t feel like what was on the menu today and it was great to have a choice of something different”; “I enjoy the restaurant feeling and being able to customize my order or meal”; "it's nice to have a variety of different beverages; oh my gosh I haven’t a pop in two years!”

 Thanks to all of our staff as this definitely has been a team effort!  Staff have commented, “I love to see everyone socializing more at meal time”',  "it’s fun”, and  "I like taking their order and offer all of the options!”
