Marathon Booth & Merchandise
On Thursday, September 14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Up and Running will have multiple booths at the Wright State University Nutter Center. There, they’ll be selling a variety of merchandise from running shoes to accessories, so you can conquer the marathon as well as all your future workouts. They’ll also be offering FREE Kinesio taping at the expo to help you go that extra mile.
TriggerPoint™ Recovery Zone
Feeling sore after race day? Then, join Up and Running at their Far Hills Avenue location on Sunday, September 17 anytime between noon and 4 p.m. for a TriggerPoint Recovery Zone. Their TriggerPoint expert will be on-site to guide you through an in-depth recovery session and demonstrate the latest tools and techniques. After giving your all during the 5K, 10K, half-marathon and marathon, it’s the least you can do for your muscles!
NormaTec® Boot Recovery Sessions
Up and Running is also offering NormaTec Recovery Sessions after the Air Force Marathon. NormaTec Pulse Recovery Systems are a compression device for recovery and rehab. The system uses compressed air to massage limbs, mobilize fluid and speed recovery between workouts and after races. The system works similar to that of a massage therapists hands. You must recover hard in order to train hard!
To register for your 30-minute session, simply call the store (937)432-9210 ahead of time. Appointments are available on Saturday from 10am-4:30pm and on Sunday from 12pm-3:30pm. Each 30-minute session is only $10.
