Progress continues for the Coryell Memorial Renovation and Expansion Project

“This is a great moment for our organization and our mission as we strive to bring new services to Gatesville Texas,” said David Byrom, CEO of Coryell Memorial Healthcare System.  “It takes over 500 full and part-time individuals to support this system, and they are all a part of our team and mission as we continue to bring quality and patient-centered health care to Coryell County and the communities we serve.”

The following new components will be two operating rooms, a 25 bed hospital wing, 2 sleep lab rooms, and 2 Cardio and Pulmonary Rehab Program rooms. A 16 bed physical rehabilitation wing will be added to The Meadows Rehabilitation and Long-term Care.  New offices will also be added for administration, materials management, as well as a new central plant (chillers, boilers, etc.).

Renovations include areas for pharmacy, respiratory therapy, lab, offices, and converting current hospital rooms into The Welcome Assisted Living rooms and some of the current Welcome rooms into Oaks Independent Living Apartments.

The hospital will remain fully operational during the project. Construction is slated for completion in 2018.
