If you are trying to get to a healthy weight calorie control is key. Ask a Registered Dietitian how many calories you need to consume a day to get to your goal weight. Read below for a few tips to banish hunger and stay on track.

  1. Choose wisely for meal planning. You need Carbohydrates, Fats, and Protein at each meal.
  2. Try eating several small meals instead of 3 larger meals if you are noticing hunger is an issue.
  3. Drink water. Sometimes our bodies are fooled into thinking we are hungry when actually we are in need of water.  Keep your water bottle full and close.
  4. Choose high fiber foods. These foods like whole grain bread, oats, fruits and vegetables will take longer to digest and therefore keep you feeling full longer.
  5. Have a go-to stash in your fridge to cut cravings. For example cut up veggies with salsa or air-popped popcorn for good volume with minimal calories.
