The Christ followers from Knox Presbyterian Church possess a strongly held mission to support their local Cincinnati, OH, community and the world. This year, Campaign for Tomorrow has raised over $1.5 million toward the reconstruction of areas of the church frequented by children, missions, and youth groups. Meanwhile, they’re also helping communities in Uganda and Israel.

Kigarama

In Kigarama, Uganda, nearly 200 children cannot attend school because the nearest facility is 11 miles away from their village. With help from Campaign for Tomorrow’s funds, villagers and missionaries are constructing a new, closer facility that will accommodate more than 300 students. The new, $35,000 school will open its doors this fall.

Jerusalem

imageCampaign for Tomorrow sent $15,000 to The Jerusalem International YMCA. The YMCA will train both Jewish and Muslim teachers at its Peace School, which emphasizes acceptance between all religions and ethnicities. The school aims to foster a peaceful generation of Israeli and Arab children.

Cincinnati

Knox Church bestowed $40,000 upon its mission partner, Third Presbyterian Church. The money will go toward renovating an additional building on the property as well as installing a neighborhood basketball court. City officials, including city manager Harry Black and police chief Eliot Isaac, gathered to celebrate these improvements alongside Knox Church’s Barry Cors.
