If you have an upcoming birthday or bridal shower, then consider decorating it with tissue garland. With just a few party supplies from your local Dollar Tree, you can create this DIY banner in a matter of hours.
All the Steps
To get started, you’ll first need to gather your supplies. This includes a variety of multicolored tissue paper, decorative washi tape, craft scissors, and matching ribbon. Once you’ve selected everything, you’ll need to fold all your tissue paper in half lengthwise and then once widthwise. Then, cut approximately 1-inch strips, leaving at least 1 inch of space at the top. Next, you’ll unfold the tissue paper once and cut it in half, creating two separate tassels. Unfold each piece again, and then you’ll roll each one down the middle — where your crease line is from the fold — and then twist it. This will double the thickness of your new tassel and create a loop.
Once you’ve done this, grab your washi tape and wrap it around the bottom of the loop to ensure it stays in place. Repeat these steps until you’ve created the desired amount, and then string all the tassels onto your ribbon. Then, simply hang your new banner anywhere you like!
