The summer is flying by!! To keep satisfied in between meals, snacking on a protein-rich food can be a great way to smash hunger pains and keep in your routine without adding many extra calories.  If you need a pick me up mid-day try one of these simple ideas below, all for less than 200 calories.

  1. Tuna or Chicken Salad. Mix up 3 oz. servings with 1 tbsp. light mayo, celery, and bit of mustard. Have a few ready to go in the fridge.
  2. Celery sticks topped with 1 tablespoon of nut butter. This is a great way to sneak in a veggie too!
  3. Trail mix. Stir in 15 dry, unsalted almonds, 1 tbsp. dark chocolate chips, and 2 tbsp. raisins or dried cranberries.
  4. Roast beef deli meat rolled up with peppers, onions, and 1 slice reduced-fat mozzarella or provolone. Add mustard if you like :)
  5. Hard boiled egg. Grab and go for quick protein.  You can even buy these cooked and ready now...even better!
