Build Thinking Skills for Testing and Life

It amazes us every year that after the Holiday rush we get a second rush of new enrollees for tutoring and test prep- from parents who have just realized that their child has a testing date coming up early in the New Year.

You've got a winter break from school coming up. Plan ahead and use this time effectively to begin to build your child's thinking skills for testing and life.

For better or worse standardized testing is an integral part of most school situations. In many areas there are tests every year to assess progress. Special tests are used qualify children for gifted, honors and advanced placement programs. Many programs reassess periodically and children lose their placement if their test scores aren't high enough.

For a battery of tests to assess for entry to a gifted or advanced placement program we have grade level programs carefully designed to cover the main areas most commonly tested (from toddlers to Jr. High School):

-Verbal Reasoning

-Non-Verbal Reasoning

-Quantitative Reasoning

-Logic

-Creativity

-Test Taking Skills

Gifted & Talented Test Prep

-For State Standardized testing we recommend these NYS Common Core aligned titles (for Gr. 3 to Gr.8):
